Enphase IQ Battery 5P Domestic – 5 kWh AC-Coupled Home Battery

SKU: IQBATTERY-5P-1P-NA-DOM

The Enphase IQ Battery 5P Domestic is a high-performance, all-in-one energy storage solution designed to store solar energy and provide reliable power when you need it most. With 5.0 kWh of usable energy capacity and 3.84 kVA of continuous power, the IQ Battery 5P combines advanced battery storage with six integrated grid-forming microinverters in a compact, modular design.

Designed for residential solar and energy-storage applications, the IQ Battery 5P can help homeowners maximize solar self-consumption, reduce dependence on grid electricity, and maintain power during outages when installed with the appropriate Enphase backup equipment.

Its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) chemistry provides a stable and durable battery platform, while passive cooling eliminates the need for fans or other moving parts. The system can be monitored and controlled remotely through the Enphase App, giving homeowners visibility into battery operation and energy usage.

Key Features

5.0 kWh Usable Energy Capacity

Each IQ Battery 5P provides 5.0 kWh of usable energy, making it suitable for storing excess solar generation for use during the evening, periods of low solar production, or grid outages. Multiple units can be combined to increase total system capacity.

3.84 kVA Continuous Power

The battery provides up to 3.84 kVA of continuous output power at 240 VAC. It can also deliver higher peak power for short periods, helping support demanding household loads.

Six Integrated Microinverters

The IQ Battery 5P incorporates six grid-forming microinverters directly into the battery system. This integrated architecture simplifies system design and eliminates the need for a separate central battery inverter.

Lithium Iron Phosphate Chemistry

The IQ Battery 5P uses Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery chemistry, providing excellent thermal stability, durability, and long-term performance.

AC-Coupled Architecture

The IQ Battery 5P is an AC-coupled energy storage system, making it suitable for new solar installations as well as compatible existing solar systems. Its modular architecture allows storage capacity to be scaled according to household energy requirements.

Backup Power Capability

When installed with compatible Enphase backup equipment, the IQ Battery 5P can provide backup power during grid outages. The Enphase IQ System Controller enables the battery to operate as part of a complete backup configuration.

Smart Energy Management

The Enphase energy storage system supports operating modes such as backup, self-consumption, and time-of-use optimization. Stored energy can be used when solar production is unavailable or electricity costs are higher.

Remote Monitoring

The Enphase App allows homeowners to monitor battery status, charging levels, energy production, consumption, and system operation remotely.

Quiet Passive Cooling

The IQ Battery 5P uses passive cooling, with no fans or other moving cooling components. This enables quiet operation while reducing mechanical components that could require maintenance.

Long-Term Warranty

The IQ Battery 5P is covered by a 15-year limited warranty, up to 6,000 cycles, providing long-term coverage for residential energy-storage applications.

How It Works

During periods of high solar production, excess electricity can be stored in the IQ Battery 5P rather than being immediately exported to the grid. When solar production decreases, the stored energy can be used to power household loads.

When configured for backup operation with compatible Enphase equipment, the system can provide stored energy during a grid outage, helping keep essential household loads powered.

Multiple IQ Battery 5P units can be installed together to increase the home's total available storage capacity and power output.

Why Choose the Enphase IQ Battery 5P?

The IQ Battery 5P combines battery storage, integrated microinverters, intelligent energy management, and monitoring into one system. Its 5 kWh modular architecture allows homeowners to start with a smaller storage capacity and expand the system as energy requirements grow.

With LFP battery chemistry, passive cooling, integrated microinverters, remote monitoring, and a 15-year limited warranty, the IQ Battery 5P is designed for reliable, long-term residential energy storage.

Installation Note

The IQ Battery 5P is a professional energy-storage product and should be installed and commissioned by a qualified installer familiar with Enphase systems. Backup functionality requires compatible Enphase equipment, such as the appropriate IQ System Controller, depending on the system configuration.
